Layla and Majnun Week: Dance for PD® Explore the Repertory
We’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with Mark Morris’s delightful Layla and Majnun, a classic love story well-known in the Middle East in its first large-scale Western presentation. This weeklong digital program includes a full-length screening of the work, as well as a livestreamed Q&A with dancers and musicians, a multimedia exhibit, virtual dance classes, and more.
Led by Lesley Garrison, MMDG dancer and Dance for PD® teaching artist, this class is appropriate for people living with Parkinson’s and anyone with mobility concerns. Register to join us live or on-demand to explore excerpts from Mark Morris’ interpretation of this epic love story. Register to join live or enjoy a recording of the class on-demand. Seated versions of each activity will be simultaneously demonstrated during the live session.
This online class is free, with a suggested donation.
