As a part of its family focused programming, and to celebrate Indigenous People’s Day, The Museum of Modern Art will present Family Art Talk and Workshop: G. Peter Jemison at The Museum of Modern Art on October 10th at 1:00 p.m. This event, which invites both adults and children to participate, debuts in conjunction with one of the Museum’s newest exhibitions, Just Above Midtown: Changing Spaces.

Come celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day with painter, mixed media artist, and video artist G. Peter Jemison (Seneca, Heron Clan). Hear how Jemison’s work connects tradition and history with the contemporary Indigenous experience, then tap into your own creativity in a collaborative workshop inspired by Jemison’s art-making process.

Advance registration required, and opens online Friday, September 30, at 10:30 a.m.
