On September 24th & 25th, EVIDENCE , A Dance Company will share a vibrant selection of repertory to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The Billie Holiday Theater at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza. This program celebrating love and legacy will include; Torch, Gatekeeper and two solos; Ife/my heart (excerpt) and She is Here.

The afternoon of music and dance will demonstrate the tenacity and resilience required to maintain one’s commitment to service, community and artistic expression. Each dance on the program was selected because of its message. Torch is a celebration of life, Gatekeepers honors the relationship we have with our ancestors, She is here honors our female ancestors who continue to guide us and ife/my heart in Yoruba translates “I love you the way God loves me.” This Brooklyn Season is an essential part of Evidence's performance season.
