American Chamber Opera Company
The American Chamber Opera Company announces "Images of Her," an evening of two one-act opera premieres: Through/In by Douglas Anderson and Simonetta by Larry Lipkis, both directed by Andrew Joffe, with music direction and conducting by Douglas Anderson. In Through/In, Nicole Salamon portrays a woman sitting at her make-up table preparing herself physically and emotionally to face what comes next. Simonetta is inspired by the artist Sandro Botticelli and his despair at the death of his young model and muse Simonetta Vespucci. Singers are Rachel Arky, Lianne Gennaco, Seth Gilman, and Steven Tompkins.
