Inspired by the old oyster houses of New York and the fish market traditions of Lower Manhattan, The Oyster House at Pier A is a free-flowing space designed for convivial eating and drinking, surrounded by a promenade with tables for outdoor dining.
Specializing in simply served seafood, the menu offers the freshest seasonal oyster varieties, daily fresh fish offering,s and smoked fish from famed Brooklyn purveyor Acme Smoked Fish. The Oyster House also offers perfectly crafted classic New York cocktails and an impressive beer and wine selection.
The space is adorned with fishing and fish market images from around the world, along with original seafaring and local artifacts, such as working boat signage, ships' wheels, and small craft, generously on loan from The South Street Seaport Museum.
Pay special attention to the stunning photographs of the old Fulton Fish Market in the front hallway, by renowned photographer Barbara Mensch. They fearlessly capture the characters and atmosphere from a grittier time in New York waterfront history.
