It’s been five years since Tony-winning parodist Gerard Alessandrini brought his spoofalicious genius to the New York stage. Happily, the critically acclaimed parody Forbidden Broadway is back in a new version that skewers such shows as Hadestown, Moulin Rouge, Tootsie, Oklahoma!, Frozen, and Dear Evan Hansen as well as Tony-winning favorites Billy Porter, Karen Olivio, Andre de Shields, and Santino Fontana. Plus send-ups of Bette Midler, Bernadette Peters, Lin-Manuel Miranda, showbiz seen-onscreen Fosse/Verdon, and Renee Zellweger’s Judy Garland.
