Here Lies Love

The Public Theater, 425 Lafayette St.
212-967-7555
Within a throbbing dance club atmosphere, David Byrne and Fatboy Slim deconstruct the astonishing journey of Filipina First Lady Imelda Marcos and her meteoric rise and subsequent descent into infamy. This wholly immersive spectacle combines disco beats, adrenaline-fueled choreography, and a 360-degree scenic and video environment to explore true questions of power and responsibility. Audiences stand, move and dance along with the actors so comfortable shoes are recommended and all coats and bags must be checked. Please note as well: the show features smoke and haze, strobe lights, gunshots, and loud music. Mon. & Tues., 7; Wed. & Thurs., 8; Fri., 7 & 10:30; Sat., 5 & 9:30. Playing schedules, especially for Fri. & Sat., vary, so call or visit website for exact performance times.
