We will award ten kids a $6,400 college scholarship, a $2,500 donation to their special cause, and they will participate in a leadership development program valued at $1,100 plus, a video camera and an exciting trip where they will meet the other Huggable Heroes and take part in a professional photo shoot. The Build-A-Bear Workshop® Huggable Heroes® Contest begins 10:00:00 a.m. U.S. Eastern Time ("ET") on January 18, 2013 and ends 5:00:00 p.m. ET on February 28, 2013. BY MAIL: Complete the Official Entry Form along with your short answer responses to the community service questions about someone or yourself who has made/makes a difference to the quality of life in their community and/or around the world. Mail to "Huggable Heroes Contest Entry" at either: U.S./D.C./P.R.: PO Box 601, Garden City, NY 11530-0601, USA or CAN: P.O. Box 10001, 5576 Yonge Street, North York, Ontario, M2N OB6, Canada. 

Entries must be postmarked by February 28, 2013 & received by March 5, 2013.

Entries must include consent of Nominee and Nominator; and consent of parent/guardian of a Nominee and Nominator if either is not of age of majority in their state/province of residence. Nominator and Nominee must be legal residents of the 50 U. S., D.C., P.R. or CAN (excluding Quebec). Nominator must be 8 years of age or older. Nominee must be between the ages of 8 - 18 as of February 28, 2013. Subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws & regulations. Void outside the U.S., P.R., and CAN and where prohibited.

PRIZES: Ten (10) Huggable Heroes Grand Prizes: A $6,400 USD educational savings scholarship; participation in a leadership development program valued at $1,100 USD, a $2,500 USD donation to the Winner’s choice of a 501 (c)(3) designated charity or a registered Canadian Charity; and a trip to a city in the U.S. chosen by Sponsor for Nominee and one Guest for a professional photo shoot (and the potential to be featured in the Build-A-Bear Workshop 2014 calendar) at a designated time in July 2013 (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of trip: $2,200 USD). U.S. charitable donation prize will be issued from Build-A-Bear Workshop Foundation. Trip portion of prize includes: Round-trip standard class air transportation from major gateway airport nearest to winner’s residence to designated city at a predetermined time; minimum of two (2) nights double occupancy standard hotel accommodations, and ground transportation to/from airport/hotel at destination city only. The air transportation, ground transportation, and accommodations will be at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Total ARV of prize: $12,200 USD each. Thirty (30) Finalist Prizes: A Flip Mino HD Video Camera and a $50 Build-A-Bear Workshop® Bear Buck$® gift card, ARV: $200 USD each. Eighty (80) Semifinalist Prizes: A $15 Build-A-Bear Workshop® Bear Buck$® gift card, ARV: $15 USD each. Total ARV of all prizes: $129,200 USD. Canadian Participants: All above prize values are based on the U.S. Dollar and exchange rates will be based on these above stated values. Prizes awarded to winning Nominees or parent/legal guardian on behalf of winning Nominee if a minor.

Many will enter but only 10 will win a Grand Prize.
