Gatz - Elevator Repair Service’s critically acclaimed theatrical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby begins one morning in the office of a mysterious small business as an employee discovers a copy of the iconic novel in the clutter of his desk. He starts to read aloud and doesn’t stop. At first his coworkers hardly notice, but after a series of strange coincidences it’s no longer clear whether he’s reading the book or the book is transforming him. Over the course of a single six and a half hour production, the book is delivered word for word, brought to life by a low-rent office staff in the midst of their business operations. Gatz is presented as a marathon theatrical event, with two intermissions and dinner break.
Hue and Cry - From Tall Tales in Navan (County Meath), comes playwright Deirdre Kinahan’s black comedy about two Dublin cousins who are reunited on the eve of a family funeral in a highly charged encounter full of denial, disillusion and dark laughter.
In Transit - In this fresh take on the modern musical, seven performers take on multiple roles and create every note with their own voices. The show follows an aspiring actress, a fledgling financier, and others as they find their way in NYC.
The Language Archive - Julia Cho’s new comedy about a man devoted to the study of language who struggles to find the right words to save his career...and his marriage.
Nighttime Traffic - A new musical filled with thumping music, altered perceptions, and unanticipated inspiration. When Max and his boyfriend Calder find themselves in a hospital awaiting Calder's heart transplant, the nurse supplies them with a mind-altering pill that slows time, turning one minute into one hour.
Penny Penniworth - Charles Dickens' "lost" epic as mounted by a short-staffed theatre troupe with Royal Shakespeare Company aspirations. Set in Victorian England, it tells the story of young Penny Penniworth whose childhood love is driven out of town after nearly killing a wealthy businessman. Soon, Penny finds herself penniless, left alone to make her way through a convoluted maze of strange relationships, anonymous benefactors and ultimate justice.
