ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION, NEW YORK CITY CHAPTER ANNOUNCES IMPORTANT EDUCATIONAL MEETING IN BROOKLYN at NY Memory Center

The Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter announces its important educational meeting in Brooklyn titled, “Understanding Dementia: What You Need to Know and Where to Go.” The meeting will take place on the second Wednesday of every month, starting Wednesday, February 8, 2012, from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the NY Memory Center in Brooklyn.
The meetings are only for family members and friends who are caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The meetings will help those new to the disease with information about Alzheimer’s and related dementias, including the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, the diagnostic process, common symptoms throughout the stages, and community-based resources.
