Add to Calendar 22-03-2012 01-04-2012 15 DUEL: (2 weeks, 2 works): with Sidra Bell Dance New York Sidra Bell Dance New York (SBDNY, Inc.), a boutique company based in NYC and known for their innovative and provocative dance theater works will present two works during a two week engagement in New York City entitled DUEL. The newest work STELLA (Program A) is already garnering considerable buzz in the blogosphere as an "important, intelligent" work: "Bell is a product of the 21st Century. She is exploring uncharted territories." (NYC Dance Stuff, 2011). DUEL also features the return of the critically acclaimed ReVUE in Program B. "It was a REVUE unlike any other, a blend of vaudeville, Fellini, and Cirque du Soleil. Bell proved that she had her finger on the future of dance where ballet and hip-hop coexist on the same plane." (2010 Best in Dance, Pittsburgh Post Gazette) This 2012 season will showcase two programs that reflect Bell's ability to create work that defies boundaries and invites its spectators into a breathtaking experience.
