The art fair and craft show celebrate their third year. Art Off the Main, founded by Loris Crawford, is a showcase for paintings, drawings, graphics, sculpture and installations by artists of Caribbean, African and Latin American ancestry. Launched in 2004, and most recently in an online format, it comprised artists from 20 countries including the United States. Contemporary Art Fair NYC exhibitors include established and emerging painters, photographers, sculptors and artists working in mixed media. The three shows, in 70,000 square feet of space, will offer New Yorkers and international audiences the chance to see the original works of 250 artists and artisans selected by Richard and Joanna Rothbard of American Art Marketing. ?We look for exceptional work, execution, perspective and flair and pick the most compelling, creative, gifted artists and artisans from the thousands we see every year,? said Richard Rothbard. About Art Off the Main, Crawford, said, ?This was the first fair to showcase combined works of Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America, regions which share historical, ethnic and political experiences resulting in cultural expressions with common elements. The show, which presents a body of work not typically offered at an art fair, received positive response from media, critics and the public.?
