Description: The New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players (Artistic Director Albert Bergeret), America's preeminent professional G&S repertory company, launches its G&S Fest 2013 on January 4. The season features three iconic classic productions: The Mikado, H.M.S. Pinafore and The Yeomen of the Guard. Having presented over 2,600 performances throughout the United States, Canada, and England and incorporating a 25-piece orchestra, NYGASP features contemporary energy while retaining a traditional respect for each of the G&S masterpieces.
Venue Description: Built in 1943, NY City Center was Manhattan's first performing arts center, dedicated by Mayor Fiorello La Guardia.
