PanTones Quartet takes its name from Pan, the mythological figure who played the flute, and tones, the musical term. The Quartet plays a versatile repertoire that explores the variety of music created for the flute. Under the direction of Felipe Tristan, PanTones Quartet celebrates flute works from the 20th and 21st centuries, highlighting innovative music for a new generation. Flute Forward focuses on music that played a crucial role in the development of the instrument, and includes works by Borwn, Debussy, Takemitsy, and Varese. PanTones Quartet's members are Anna Conigliari, Rebecca Jordan, Julian Rose, and Felipe Tristan, all of whom are Kenan Fellowship alumni from Lincoln Center Institute.
