In celebration of its 100th anniversary, Berk’s Bar at Omni Berkshire Place is transforming into The Barberry Room, a return to one of the hotel’s supper clubs of the same name. Drawing inspiration from New York’s Prohibition-era speakeasy culture, the reimagined space honors the spirit, design, and storytelling of the hotel’s early years, transporting guests back to the glamour and intrigue of the Roaring Twenties. The experience is designed as an intimate, speakeasy-style bar located just beyond the main lobby, with a more discreet entrance and subdued atmosphere. The cocktail menu features timeless 1920s New York classics and drinks from the era of historical classic cocktail culture that are still enjoyed today by both enthusiasts and modern drinkers. The bar program focuses on classic and era-inspired cocktails, paired with elevated small plates. Design elements include low lighting, vintage-inspired details, and jazz influences, creating a setting that nods to the past. The concept blends historical references with a modern bar experience, honoring the hotel’s legacy while offering something new for guests and locals.
