THE HOT FOLDER - Jeremy Pinson

How often do you really get to give advice to your teenage self? When a classmate finds a folder on Jeremy’s laptop labeled ‘Hot’, his fantasies come to life to help him navigate the fraught social politics of high school.

The true events that spurred The Hot Folder occurred as Gen Z were the guinea pigs for our global social media experiment. In a blink, every teen fantasy, bad opinion, & yo mama joke, anonymously made their way online. And so, the physical vestiges of uniqueness – instruments and cartoons and YA novels – no matter how much you enjoyed them, became increasingly embarrassing to expose to a jury of your peers at school. The Hot Folder explores the multitudes contained in a teenage bedroom – as an incubator of creativity and exploration vis a vis a dungeon of shame – and what you might tell your teen self when you inevitably must leave that space.

CHASING THE QUICK BROWN FOX - Andrea J. Wang

Sometimes the answers to love seem like they're written in Wingdings, and the only thing harder than breaking up is canceling an Adobe subscription. Picking the right font is like searching for the perfect partner, and modern dating has a lot of us feeling like Papyrus. After a string of obsessive relationships, graphic designer and type lover Andrea Wang finds solace in letters, knowing they will never let her down. This deadpan, silly, and educational show will take you through the history of type and design and address your burning type questions: Serif or sans serif? Is Comic Sans really that bad? Should I write my breakup emails in Helvetica or Times New Roman?
