Bronx Arts Ensemble Woodwind Quintet: Musique de fête
Bronx Arts Ensemble is excited to announce its Community Residency at College of Mount Saint Vincent with an inaugural performance of MUSIQUE DE FÊTE in The Chapel on Sunday, November 19th at 2 PM. Our 51st season, A Focus on the Human Condition, examines all the rituals and experiences that make us human. Musique de fête is an exploration of the “less refined” aspects of merrymaking, and includes works that evoke folk themes, lazy summer days, and a night of overindulgence. Includes works by William Grant Still, Arturo Marquez, Adriana Verdie, Ana Sokolovic, Samuel Barber, and Lalo Schifrin, performed by Theresa Norris, flute; Boris Baev, oboe; Mitchell Kriegler, clarinet; Wilden Dannenberg, French horn; and Atsuko Sato, bassoon.
