Getting in the Room, Being in the Room, Staying in the Room
FTH is pleased to present a professional development workshop with Queens World Film Festival’s Executive Director, Katha Cato. Open to artists of all disciplines and experience, this workshop will allow us to think about how we show up as artists, how we find our way into spaces, how we navigate them once we are there, and how we stay connected long after the moment has passed.
Built around three deceptively simple ideas—getting in the room, being in the room, and staying in the room—this fast-paced, practical workshop explores how to find and create opportunities to share your work, how to show up as a strong collaborator, and how to build relationships that extend well beyond a single introduction. Participants will begin with a brief self-assessment to identify the skills and resources they already have, and then we will work on expanding them.
