‘The Wolff’ Preview Night
The classic story of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ as you’ve never seen it before…
Join us at Gibney: Agnes Varis Performing Arts Center on June 6th for an intimate preview night event and be one the first to see The Wolff! All tickets include the first public preview performance of The Wolff, a Q&A with the creative team, and snacks, drinks and after party with the cast.
VIP experience includes a pre-show talk & toast with the creative team.
The Wolff' is former Houston Ballet Principal and AVID dancer Melody Mennite's creative reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood, in which convention is challenged and fear confronted through vivid kinesthetic storytelling.
“'What if the wolf was never the villain?'
When creating ‘The Wolff’, I kept asking myself that question. Wolves bring balance to ecosystems and are deeply respected in many cultures, yet our stories often cast them as the antagonist.ㅤIn this retelling, the wolf isn’t the villain.
He exists as he does in nature—connected to the forest and the elements—serving instead as a guide, reminding us of balance with the natural world.”
