Join us in the Museum at Eldridge Street's historic Main Sanctuary on Wednesday, May 29th at 6pm to celebrate executive director, Holocaust educator, media scholar, and author Dr. Maria Zalewska's newest book, Honey Cake & Latkes: Recipes from the Old World by the Auschwitz-Birkenau Survivors (Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Foundation 2022) with photographs by acclaimed photographer, Ellen Silverman. We are honored to also hear from Auschwitz-Birkenau survivor Michael Bornstein and his daughter, Debbie Bornstein Holinstat, whose recipes are featured in the book edited by Zalewska. This conversation will be led by four-time James Beard award-winning chef and author Rozanne Gold.
