Fracture

Prince Street Gallery is pleased to present FRACTURE, Feb 27 -March 23, Reception on Feb 29th 6-8pm. The theme of FRACTURE was selected by gallery artist curators Flavia Bacarella and Gina Werfel. Participating gallery artists found visual metaphors to express a breaking apart or disconnected condition, ranging from the personal, to reflections on nature, on art, and on the fractured state of the United States and the world at large. Here is a short statement by a gallery artist suggesting how their work fits this theme, “Over time, even the strongest of things can come apart. Rock can fracture when stress exceeds the rock strength. A metaphor for the moment.” The exhibition includes a number of genres, including drawings, prints, paintings, collage and multimedia artworks.
