Salsa Groove: Dance Class & Happy Hour
NYC’s favorite salsa night for 40+ years, once a month at SOB’s! Welcome to Salsa Groove: a dinner & drinks happy hour with salsa music, dance classes, and salsa dance performances.
Enjoy a night dancing & grooving with friends, family, partners, & more as you eat dinner, sip on happy hour cocktails, and learn how to salsa with Joe Burgos of Piel Canela Dance.
Doors open at 6:00PM, dance lessons start by 7:00PM, and entry is free with RSVP from 6:00-6:30PM (free entry not guaranteed, subject to venue capacity). Live salsa performances from Piel Canela dancers begin at 8:30PM.
Arriving later? Purchase tickets online for priority entry and arrive anytime between 6-10pm!
Attendees receive 1 month of FREE classes at the Piel Canela Dance Studio.
Tables with drink & dinner service are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. For reservations of 10+ people, please email booking@sobs.com.

For over 40 years, SOB’s has been widely known as the premier Salsa venue in New York City, hosting Salsa Groove socials with dance lessons, concerts, post-work happy hours, & more. Our history with Salsa goes back to the 80s, when legends like Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Marc Anthony, Rubén Blades, Hector Lavoe, Willie Colon, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Los Van Van, and more got their start on our stage.
