Las Hermanas: A Night of Latin Music and Dance
Las Hermanas is an original multidisciplinary Latin music experience by Jersey City–based Cuban-American artist Giselle Bellas, coming to White Eagle Hall on June 7. Blending themes of sisterhood, migration, and identity, the production combines live music, theater, and dance into a powerful narrative performance. The show features a 15-piece Latin band composed of Broadway musicians, Grammy nominees, and internationally touring artists, alongside a dynamic ensemble of actor-dancers who bring the story of four sisters to life.
Integrating dramatic scenes with an original musical score, the performance also incorporates immersive visual elements, including hand-painted works by local artists. Rooted in the rich rhythms and traditions of Latin America, Las Hermanas transcends the concert format to offer a vibrant, theatrical celebration of culture, storytelling, and community.
This program is supported in part by the NJEDA’s A.R.T. – Phase II Grant Program and the New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism (Visit NJ). JCTC is supported by the NJ State Council on the Arts and Jersey City Arts and Culture Trust Fund.
