JG Jewelry will celebrate the grand opening of its first New York City storefront, located at 324 Bleecker St. in Manhattan’s historic West Village, on Friday, July 24, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The grand opening celebration will be an all-day celebration of craft and process, where guests will enjoy live jazz performances (from 1-3 p.m.) and experience an immersive retail environment centered on the brand’s in-store making practice, where customers can watch jewelers shape, weld, and create their unique jewelry pieces. In addition, a professional photographer will be present from 3-7 p.m. offering portrait sessions inspired by the Victorian ‘Carte de Visite’, a small photographic calling card popularized in the 19th century. Customers will be able to take home their own Carte de Visite, featuring a posed portrait of themselves with their newly purchased jewelry.
