The 17th annual Dance Parade will take place Saturday May 20th, once again a grand celebration of dance with 10,000 dancers showcasing 100+ different styles of dance performed by 160+ local and out of town dance organizations. Ribbon cutting takes place at 12 noon on 6th Avenue & 17th St., and the parade marches down 6th Ave.; then east on 8th St. all the way to tompkins Square Park. Arriving at the park at approximately 3 pm, the fun continues until 7 pm with free performances, dance classes, and more on 5 specially set-up stages in the park. Grand marshals are Ron K. Brown, Elizabeth Streb, an DJ Natasha Diggs.
