NYC Math Festival 2026 at National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath)
The National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath), North America's leading mathematics museum, presents the 10th annual NYC Math Festival on Saturday, July 11, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies, located at 333 West 17th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, with an additional entrance on West 18th Street. This free, rain-or-shine celebration invites visitors of all ages to experience the beauty, creativity, and excitement of mathematics through spectacular performances, hands-on exhibits, giant collaborative constructions, mathematical games and puzzles, robotics, and interactive activities.

Festival highlights include:

• Steve Langley, Guinness World Record-holding bubbleologist, presenting amazing bubble artistry revealing the surprising mathematics of shape, symmetry, surfaces, and space. • Dr. Arthur Benjamin, renowned mathemagician, star of That Math Show Off-Broadway, and MoMath's Visiting Professor for Public Outreach, performing his signature blend of mathematics, magic, and lightning-fast mental calculation. • A display featuring a model of NASA's James Webb Space Telescope, with NASA staff on hand throughout the day to answer questions about the mathematics and engineering behind one of history's most remarkable space missions. • Demonstrations by StuyPulse, the award-winning Stuyvesant High School Robotics Team. • The Mathematics of Juggling, featuring mathematical educator and entertainer John Chase. • MoMath's popular Math Midway 2 Go (MM2Go) traveling exhibition. • Leonardome: work together to build one of MoMath’s most popular Festival activities, creating an impressive collaborative construction based on the ingenious designs of Leonardo da Vinci. • DoDecArt: work together to create captivating dodecahedral structures while discovering the patterns, symmetries, and surprises of this fascinating shape.
