Salsa Groove
We’re getting back to our roots with Salsa Groove, a dinner & drinks happy hour with salsa music, free dance lessons, and salsa dance performances. Thanks to our loyal Salsa Groovers, we are excited to announce that Salsa Groove will officially return to S.O.B.’s as a monthly Friday night event!!
For over 40 years, S.O.B.’s has been widely known as the premier Salsa venue in New York City, hosting Salsa Groove socials with dance lessons, concerts, brunches, post-work happy hours, & more. Our history with Salsa goes back to the 80’s, when legends like Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Marc Anthony, and Los Van Van got their start on our stage.
Enjoy a night dancing & grooving with friends, family, partners, & more as you eat dinner, sip on happy hour cocktails, and get free lessons from Joe Burgos of Piel Canela Dance.
Doors open at 5:30PM, dance lessons start at 6:30PM, and entry is free with RSVP before 6:30PM. Live salsa performances from Piel Canela dancers begin at 8:30PM. Tables with drink & dinner service are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. For reservations of over 10+ people, please email booking@sobs.com
