2009 Restaurant Week
Now in its 18th year, NYC Restaurant Week brings together some of the City’s most celebrated, time-honored fine dining establishments— including Café de Artistes, Gramercy Tavern, and La Goulue— with some of the City’s most contemporary and sought-after hot-spots— including Bar Boulud, Apiary, and Nobu. Notable newcomers this year include Lever House Restaurant, The Palm Tribeca, Union Prime, Fishtail by David Burke, Dovetail, and Country.
NYC Restaurant Week Founding Sponsor American Express and NYC & Company have partnered to support City Harvest. American Express and NYC & Company will donate $.25 per transaction when diners pay with any American Express® Card at participating restaurants during NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2009, up to $10,000. This partnership helps City Harvest reach its goal to rescue 20 million pounds of excess food from the food industry – including restaurants, manufacturers, wholesalers, greenmarkets, hotels, corporate cafeterias, grocery stores and farms – and deliver it to more than 600 community food programs throughout the five boroughs using a fleet of 16 trucks and volunteers on foot.
