The Sports Museum of America is the first national sports museum dedicated to the history and cultural significance of sports in America. This 8000 square foot, interactive, multimedia experience connects visitors to the sports they love through leading technology as well as memorabilia and iconic artifacts donated by single-sport Halls of Fame, Museums, individual athletes and private collectors. There are more than 600 artifacts, 1,100 photos, and 20 original films within 19 galleries to relive your favorite goose-bump moments in sports history. Sports Museum of America also features the Sports Museum of America Store, an extensive retail area with over 4,000 square feet of exclusive sports merchandise and memorabilia from the greatest brands in sports today. The Legends Level is an 8,000 square foot special event space, with premium catering from Restaurant Associates.
Sports Museum of America is located at 26 Broadway (Beaver Street). Sports Museum of America is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 10am to 6 pm; with the last ticket sold at 5:15 pm. Hours may vary by season and may close early for special events. Please call ahead to confirm. In order to protect sensitive exhibits, interactives and artifacts, there is no photography, video use of cell phones or other mobile devices, food, drinks, smoking, and strollers aloud inside the museum. Strollers may be stored in the coatroom of the Sports Museum of America. The Legends Level and the SmA Store are fully wheelchair accessible. Elevators provide access to all floors and exhibits, and all bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. There is limited seating within the museum itself. Guests with special needs are should call ahead for information and to make appropriate arrangements. Sports Museum of America can accommodate Bar/Bat mitzvahs, weddings, corporate parties, awards ceremonies and fashion shows to product launches, trade shows, conventions and other special events. Group rates (savings of $5 per ticket) are available for 15 or more guests. All group reservations must be made in advance and require pre-payment. Sports Museum of America welcomes the tour and travel industry with special travel industry rates. There are three ways to purchase tickets; by calling 1-888-SmA-TKTS (1-888-762-8587); in person At the SmA Box Office (entrance on Beaver Street); and online at www.sportsmuseum.com.
There are no additional charges on tickets purchased online or in person at the box office. Tickets purchased by phone will incur a convenience charge of $3.50 per ticket. For both online and phone purchases, there are no additional charges to print your tickets at home or have them waiting for you at the box office.
