The Tropicana Casino and Resort invites you to feel the electricity as Grammy-nominated recording artist Jordin Sparks performs live at 9 p.m. in the Tropicana Showroom, Saturday, April 24, 2010.
Early on, Sparks demonstrated a unique affinity for music, winning a number of talent competitions, including NBC/PAX TV’s “America's Most Talented Kids” and the Drug Free Arizona Superstar Search. In her home state of Arizona, she was named Best Young Artist for three years running.
But it was Sparks’ big win in season six of “American Idol” in May of 2007 when the then-17-year-old moved into the fast lane toward international acclaim. On the heels of becoming the youngest "American Idol" winner, Sparks released her self-titled debut album in November 2007, which went on to sell over 1.6 million copies worldwide, earning U.S. platinum status and spawning three Top 5 hits on Billboard’s Pop singles chart including “Tattoo,” “No Air,” and “One Step At A Time.” Her sophomore release, “Battlefield,” also went on to much critical acclaim.
“A couple years ago I was just a happy-go-lucky, quirky 17-year old. I still feel that way after experiencing so many amazing things,” Sparks said. “I’m learning more every day, but one thing I know for sure is that to sing for my job is the best thing in the world.”
Tickets for Jordin Sparks’ April 24 concert at the Tropicana will be available starting 12 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010. Tickets prices are $35 - $55 and are available at the Tropicana Box Office, Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com.
