You’re in New York, where things are different. Even a tour. In the most theatrical city of the world, why not a theatrical tour? The Ride doesn’t believe New York is lively enough, so their goal is to make it livelier. This tour offers seasoned street performers (who aren’t the least bit shy!) in seven interactive entertainment events staged against various backdrops. Thanks to unique stadium seating and larger windows on the deluxe motorcoach, every guest not only has front row seats but also panoramic views. The bus features 40 video screens, surround-sound, and ground-breaking “shake” technology that emulates the feel and sound of, say, a subway roaring past underneath. You encounter acrobats, break dancers, a flash mob singing and dancing, ballet dancers, or, in a throwback to VE Day at the end of World War II, you might suddenly see a sailor and his girl be-boppin’ in Times Square – or, right in the middle of summer, get a taste of New Year’s eve. The Ride seems to be quite a romantic experience, since real life riders have dropped to their knees and proposed onboard.
