NYC RESTAURANT WEEK WINTER 2009 EXTENDED THROUGH MARCH 20

NYC & Company, New York City’s marketing, tourism and partnership organization, announced that NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2009 will extend through Friday, March 20.  The promotion will continue at more than 130 participating restaurants, some including Sundays. 

Prices for the program remain the same with three-course prix-fixe lunches for $24.07 and three-course prix-fixe dinners for $35.00 (excluding beverage, tax and gratuity). “NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2009 was a success, and we are excited to extend the program through the end of the winter,” said NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta.  “This is our way of continuing to make fine dining affordable for New Yorkers and visitors, but to also provide a boost to many of the City’s restaurants in a tough economic climate.”
 
Now in its 18th year, NYC Restaurant Week brings together some of the City’s most celebrated, time-honored fine dining establishments that include Payard and One if by Land, Two if by Sea, with some of the City’s most contemporary and sought-after hot-spots like Café Boulud, Morimoto and Nobu Next Door.  Notable newcomers this year include Apiary, Bar Breton and Bar Stuzzichini.
