Masterwork Festival Choruses and Youth Choir
The New York City Chamber Orchestra and Manhattan Concert Productions' Masterwork Choruses present an evening of choral masterworks. The program includes the NEW YORK PREMIERE of Timothy Takach's We Are Phoenix, under the baton of Michael Hanawalt, and Sir John Rutter’s Requiem, conducted by Deanna Joseph. Alex Gartner will lead the Youth Choir through six short works, including Andrea Ramsey’s Hope Lingers On. The City of Angels Community Choirs complete the program with Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are a-Changin’” and Copeland’s “Zion’s Walls.”
