Charming Disaster's Musical Séance at Caveat
Charming Disaster’s Musical Séance is part concert, part spirit divination, part guided tour of what may lie beyond the mortal veil. The playfully macabre goth-folk duo take on phantoms, poisons, witches, monsters, mediums, and more of their favorite things in this performance of original songs and mysterious onstage rituals. Charming Disaster invites you to get haunted with them – exploring the dark side with tongue in cheek and drink in hand. Séance kit included with VIP ticket!

“Charming Disaster are unusual, spooky, wickedly talented, and completely unafraid to delve deep into the underworld in exploration of all things lurking in the dark...they have a knack for making the macabre fun.” –Mixed Alternative

“A goth-cabaret folk vaudeville duo from Brooklyn in the dark cabaret mould of Tiger Lillies and Dresden Dolls.” –Outside Left

Brooklyn-based musical duo Charming Disaster was formed in 2012 by Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris. Inspired by the gothic humor of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, the murder ballads of the Americana tradition, and the dramatic flair of the cabaret, they write playfully macabre songs that tell stories about death, crime, myth, magic, folklore, science, and the occult. In their theatrical live performances, they combine vocal harmonies and clever lyrics with ukulele, guitar, and virtuosic foot percussion. Charming Disaster’s music has been featured on the podcast Welcome to Night Vale;, they have opened for legendary cello-rock ensemble Rasputina, goth icon Voltaire, and punk cabaret duo The Dresden Dolls; and their theatrical, entertaining live performances have captivated audiences across the United States. Recent appearances include Joe's Pub at The Public Theater in NYC, Brooklyn’s historic Green-Wood Cemetery, the Rochester Fringe Festival, the Edgar Allan Poe Museum in Richmond, VA, Cleveland's Wizbang Circus Theatre, and the Coney Island Sideshow stage.
