Masa, Mole, and Mezcal: Balancing Mexican Culinary Traditions with Innovation
Chelsea Market and the Museum of Food and Drink have joined forces to bring an educational series to the Market that explores indigenous foodways. The final event in the series on Tuesday, March 21 is called “Masa, Mole, and Mezcal: Balancing Mexican Culinary Traditions with Innovation.” Join Matt Diaz, owner of For All Things Good café in Brooklyn and Zack Wangeman, chef and owner of Sobre Masa Tortilleria, for a discussion about historical traditions and the future of masa innovation. Participants will have the opportunity to taste freshly made tortillas with mole and sip some mezcal, a combination designated to be the holy trinity of Oaxacan flavors.
