WHAT: Kids have amazing ideas on how to make the world a better place and it’s time their voices were heard. Junior Voices is a nationwide campaign aiming to do just that. It launches in New York on March 28th with the arrival of a 10ft, dayglow yellow mailbox situated outside the Flatiron building in Manhattan.

Whether it’s an idea on space travel, climate change or animal protection, children are invited to share their thoughts on how to make the world better on a postcard and drop it into the Junior Voices mailbox. All ideas will be sorted and sent to organizations who share their goals and can make real change.

Junior Voices coincides with the launch of The Week Junior, the highly anticipated weekly children's magazine from Dennis Publishing. The magazine aims to help children find their place in the world and this inaugural campaign empowers them to have their say on it. A selection of postcards submitted through Junior Voices will be published in future issues of the magazine.

Also available on the day will be a photo booth, goodie bags, and complimentary issues of the magazines. Guests will get to meet The Week Junior’s leading editorial team: Editor-in-Chief Andrea Barbalich (formerly of Prevention, Scholastic, and Child) and Deputy Editor Mindy Walker (previously of Parents, Glamour and Self).

WHY: The Week Junior is aimed at 8 to 14-year-olds, one of the most curious and switched-on generations the world has ever seen. They are fascinated by the world around them and eager to learn and discuss everything from global news and science, to technology and entertainment. It is time this intelligent generation of children was both seen and heard.

WHEN: Saturday, March 28 from 11am-7pm.

WHERE: Flatiron Plaza — Between 23rd Street and Broadway in New York.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED: Simply stop by Flatiron Plaza on Saturday March 28 and say hi. For those not in New York but bursting with amazing ideas, please email in ideas to
