Exhibition Dates: May 2 - 26, 2019 7 Franklin Place, Lower Level
April 18, 2019
Gallery 104 is pleased to present a group exhibition featuring an exceptional cadre of multidisciplinary artists, curated by Lucy McCarron, Director of Gallery 104. Each work in this show touches upon the idea of nurture, visualizing approaches to reciprocal processes of caring for self and others. In a range of media, these cultural producers thoughtfully prompt viewers to consider the formative nurturing experiences and forces that have had an impact on individuals' development and construction of identity. Further, the assembled objects will explore the environment through the lens of nurture, calling attention to the responsibility we have to care for the earth and all its inhabitants.
The show will open on Thursday, May 2nd with a public reception from 6-9pm. Following the reception, there will be an after-party for artists, curators, collectors, and patrons at the nearby Roxy Hotel, located between Walker and White Streets on 6th Avenue. The show will remain on view until Sunday, May 26th. Visitors may see the works during its run Monday through Sunday between the hours 12-5pm.
