Queens Jazz Trail Concert: LUCY YEGHIAZARYAN
Experience the vibrant legacy of jazz in the heart of Queens this summer! Inspired by the iconic Queens Jazz Trail Map, this free concert series brings the borough’s rich jazz history to life in beautiful community parks—where legends like Armstrong, Coltrane, Fitzgerald, and more once called home. Presented by Kupferberg Center for the Arts, Flushing Town Hall, and Louis Armstrong House Museum in partnership with NYC Parks, the Queens Jazz Trail Concert Series honors Queens’ extraordinary jazz legacy and community spirit.
TONY BENNETT CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION! Lucy Yeghiazaryan is an Armenian-American vocalist and violinist emerging as a leading voice in contemporary straight-ahead jazz, blending her cultural heritage with the American jazz tradition. Born in Armenia and raised in New Jersey, she honed her craft through the Jazz for Teens program at NJPAC and is now based in NYC, performing at venues including Jazz at Lincoln Center and Birdland. Yeghiazaryan has worked with artists such as Harold Mabern, Houston Person, and Terell Stafford, and is a recipient of grants from the Doris Duke Foundation, Chamber Music America, and the New York Foundation for the Arts.
This concert will take place at Astoria Park in Astoria. It’s free—just show up! Bring a blanket, lawn chair, picnic, friends—even your dancing shoes—and join us for an evening of live jazz in the park!
