Pictor Gallery is pleased to announce "Pictor Pride 2026", a group exhibition presenting works by the gallery’s LGBTQIA+ identifying members. On view online at Artsy from June 2026 through June 2027, Pictor Pride 2026 celebrates the work and achievements of queer artists all year long.

This exhibition brings together a variety of styles and subjects, demonstrating the impact queerness has on all aspects of an individual’s life. The theme of identity is explored through representations of each artist’s social, physical, and emotional environments. Queerness as a subject is more direct in some pieces, like Mutantland’s "Not Quite Mirrored" (c. 2006), and more subtle in abstract approaches, like Ryan Ketterer’s "False Hope" (2025).

Abstract paintings and sculptures invite viewers to interpret identity as fluid, evolving, and limitless. Further, the lack of figures provides a portal into the mental bearings and celebrations of queer individuals. Works grounded in figures and still lives return viewers to queer experiences in our physical environments. Drawing from nature, these pieces represent the humanity in queerness.

Together, these artists reflect the power and greater individuality of the LGBTQIA+ community. With unique backgrounds and identities, each artist has their own story to tell. Pictor Pride 2026 emphasizes that individual beauty and the importance of community are mutually inclusive.
