THE FEDERATION OF MODERN PAINTERS AND SCULPTORS: 2026 ANNUAL EXHIBITION JULY 28 – AUGUST 15, 2026 Opening Reception: Thursday, July 30, 5 – 8pm The Federation of Modern Painters & Sculptors presents its Annual Members’ Exhibition at Prince Street Gallery for the sixth consecutive year. Featured artists: Tricia Adler, Marcia Clark, Kathleen Catanese, Geoffrey Gneuhs, Kenneth B. Founded in the early 1940s, the Federation of Modern Painters & Sculptors is a vital collective for artists whose commitment to creative freedom, self-expression, and individuality remains central to their work. The Federation, founded in 1940 by Mark Rothko, Adolph Gottlieb, Meyer Shapiro and Milton Avery, was committed to presenting new forms of art. The Federation stays true to its original mission of preserving the importance of individuality and diversity in the creation of art. This mission has been maintained and reinforced for over eight decades, continuing to guide the organization’s spirit and influence in the contemporary art world.
