Composer Robert Sirota's String Quartet No. 3, "Wave Upon Wave" is presented by Concerts on the Slope at St. John's Episcopal Church. This concert is part of Sirota @ 70, a celebration throughout the 2019-2020 concert season featuring residencies, performances, and premieres in honor of the composer's 70th birthday. Wave Upon Wave premiered in 2018 at Carnegie Hall. The program also includes Composer in Residence Natalie Dietterich's Three pieces for string quartet and Samuel Barber's String Quartet in B minor, Op. 11. Performers are Concerts on the Slope's Artistic Director and cellist Benjamin Larsen; violinists Jennifer Gersten and Jungwon Yoon; and violist Nick Pauly.

Serkin concludes his program with a work of Johann Sebastian Bach one of his only pieces published within his lifetime the seminal Goldberg Variations.

Her case was part of the "Daycare Hysteria" cases in the 1990s, in which many across the country were wrongfully convicted for concocted daycare molestation at daycare centers funded by Head Start or otherwise had deep pockets that would afford the "victims" hefty settlements. Nancy's case represents one of the worst cases of ineffective representation in the annuls of wrongful conviction cases. Hailed for her Haydn interpretations, Israeli pianist Einav Yarden brings two selections by the composer to her 92Y debut. Haydn's Fantasia based on an Austrian folk tune introduces similar influences in Bartk's bagatelles, themselves based on Hungarian folk tunes. She returns to Haydn with his buoyant F Major sonata, before Bartk's dance-inflected Burlesques. Schumann's Fantasie conclude the concert, displaying the composer's eye on the present in its dedication to Franz Liszt, and his love of history, with its echoes of Beethoven.
