Born in East Baltimore, Maryland, Steve grew up cultivating a deep love and respect for jazz music, picking up the sax at age seven. He attended the Baltimore School for the Arts, then went on to graduate from Frederick Douglass High, a school with a rich musical legacy whose alumni include Cab Calloway, Eubie Blake, and Ellis Larkin. His early influences were John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Grover Washington Jr., Hank Mobley, Dexter Gordon and Freddie Hubbard.Following graduating in 1986, Steve was awarded a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston. There, he studied with saxophonist Bill Pierce, formerly of Art Blakeys Jazz Messengers. More than a childhood memory or satisfying social media trend, slime has been known to be a source of stress relief and it lets you unleash your imagination. Sloomoo Institute is a limited engagement. We are only open in New York Citys SoHo for nearly six months and then we will pack up and bring our recipe for happiness to another city.So wear comfortable shoes, clothes you dont mind getting messy (tip: wear pants and shirts with sleeves you can easily roll up) and get your ticket to indulge!

a new play by Lynn Clay Byrne , directed by Benjamin Viertel , will begin performances on March 23 in advance of its opening night on March 31 and will initially run through April 25 at HERE Arts Center (145 Sixth Avenue). Inspired by true events and set within the confines of the jailhouse visit room, emotionally charged meetings between inmates and visitors expose the reality of our American jail system. We observe how the impact of incarceration diminishes any chance of success for inmates who have served their time. Between The Bars , follows five inmates and their loved ones, bringing to light critical systemic failures and questioning who belongs on which side of the bars. The Little Mermaid the musical OPENING WEEKEND! - The Players Theatre

"Once upon a time there was a little mermaid who dreamed of the day when she would finally be old enough to explore the wonders of the world above the sea..." Running 70 minutes with no intermission, this production features a live music ensemble and includes a family workshop 1 hour prior to each matinee performance. Here the audience meets members of the creative team as well as an actor from the production who relate how they turn a book into a musical onstage. Afterward, the children are invited to create a sea creature that they can bring home as a souvenir.
