Its popular Mixology 101 classes are held on Saturdays, during which students take a quick tour through several spirits and how they’re incorporated into cocktails. The company Cocusocial provides low-cost cooking classes at the Staybridge Suites near Times Square. Try out their Shake It Up class on mixology basics for $49 per guest. This option is for the social butterfly (or barfly, as the case may be), since each person is paired with a classmate for drink-slinging fun. Haven’s Kitchen

Seasonal, sustainable ingredients are the stars at Haven’s Kitchen in Chelsea. Among its many cooking classes are several mixology-themed offerings every month. Coming up, Springtime Spritzes and Summertime Spritzes (April 25 and June 27, respectively) give you the tools and tips to make seasonal cocktails like a professional.
