The New York City Police Museum has announced a new temporary home at 45 Wall Street. The Museum has been closed since October 29, 2012 due to Hurricane Sandy. The location, which features both exhibitions and a gift shop, is open Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm.
Special exhibitions currently on view include a look at Lieutenant Joseph Petrosino and his heroic stand against the Black Hand, a photography exhibit of rare images from AP photographers documenting 9/11, and an exhibit on the history of policing from the Dutch rattlewatch of the 1650's to modern NYPD.
The Museum is rebuilding its permanent home at 100 Old Slip and is seeking donations. To donate, click here.
