Japanese manga has become very popular in the US. Titles such as Naruto, Sailor Moon, and Fairy Tail continue to be well loved. Many fans of manga, anime, and video games, develop an interest in learning Japanese, so let's practice together. This basic course will be led by Yosenex Orengo, YA librarian at the Stone Ave Branch, who is a former resident of Japan, and is JLPT N2 certified in the Japanese language. -Learn Hiragana and Katakana (the Japanese "alphabet") as well as kanji. -Learn vocabulary (with Kanji) and grammar with help from resources provided in class. -Learn common words found in Japanese manga and anime. -Develop a foundation so that you can continue improving your skills. These lessons are intended for Young Adults. Be prepared to take notes
