Carlton Fine Arts Presents Romero Britto
Carlton Fine Arts is pleased to announce the Romero Britto exhibition, a historic collection of notable and new works by the internationally renowned pop artist, who has created an iconic visual language of happiness, fun, love, and hope, inspiring millions worldwide. On view from May 12th through June 12th, the show will spotlight vibrant and bold original paintings, limited-edition sculptures, and limited-edition fine art prints at the Carlton Fine Arts Ltd. location at 543 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10022.
Romero founded the Happy Art Movement in 1992 with the mission to inspire happiness, fun, love and optimism around the globe through his unique art and vibrant colors. He has dedicated his work to exploring the nature and essence of happiness, and at its core, his work is an expression of love.
The exhibition will be spread throughout three floors and will highlight over 100 pieces such as the brand-new Love (Word Sculpture) and never-before-seen pieces from his personal archived collection including the CLASSIC ORANGE torso sculpture; Brigitte Bardot; I’m The King; and Green Eyes. A portion of the proceeds from the works will be donated to The New York Academy of Art, which serves as a creative and intellectual center for all artists dedicated to highly skilled, conceptually aware figurative and representational art.
Romero is recognized as one of the most famous and celebrated living visual artists worldwide, and his work can be found in the collections of Leonardo DiCaprio, Justin Bieber, Oprah Winfrey, Donatella Versace, HRH Prince Charles, Sir Elton John, and Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen, among many more. He exhibited at the opening of the Super Bowl XLI in collaboration with the Cirque Du Soleil, served as the official artist for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa and the ambassador to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil as well as an honorary torch bearer and ambassador for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The most licensed artist in history, Romero has collaborated with Disney, Hasbro, Mattel, Apple, Coca-Cola, Pepsi Co, Bentley, Puma, NBC Universal, Philips, Samsung, LG, Absolut Vodka, Campari, Carnival Cruise Line and Rolls Royce, among more.
A committed activist, Romero has donated more than $120 million to over 250 charitable organizations including The Prince’s Trust, Andrea Bocelli Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research and American Cancer Society.
