Shattered Written and Performed by Diana Varco Directed by Jessica Lynn Johnson
"Clever, brilliant, disturbing, funny, and heartbreaking all in equal measure’ - BroadwayBaby.com (***** - Edinburgh Fringe) What if our emotions could comment on life’s experiences - the good, the bad and the ugly?…the really ugly? Using flashback, narration and personification of characters in the mind, Shattered explores that question and themes such as dating and relationships, mental health, the power of Shame, post-traumatic growth and much more. Having toured Shattered to LA, NYC, and a recent 25 show run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, solo artist Diana Varco delivers a comedic and heartbreakingly raw, powerhouse performance filled with wit, poignancy and vulnerability, as she travels through experiences that shaped her views on sex and intimacy. Portraying over 35 characters, Diana uses comedy to take the audience through tragedy - ultimately telling the tale of one individual, picking up the broken pieces of herself and learning to live again. (Run-time: 70min w/o intermission) “What a show this is, truly epic” - NohoArtsDistrict.com “A woman of 1,000 faces” - Splashmags.com “Courageous” - The Scotsman *Content warning: Shattered contains discussion of sexual assault, domestic violence, suicidal ideation and other distressing themes, strong language. *21+ to attend in-person performance - no outside alcohol, 16+ age recommendation for all other performances *Proof of full vaccination will be required to attend in-person performance.
