Yael & Gabriel :French Jazz & Tango, Swing,Gypsy, Latin,Flamenco and Beyond
An enchanting mix of international beats, sultry vocals and more than a smidgen of accordion brings a cosmopolitan cabaret feel to shows by New York's own "Padam Padam" Mini Orchestra featuring Yael & Gabriel. Yael Dray-Barel is a French-Israeli singer-songwriter influenced by rock and gypsy jazz, and her songs often incorporate the five languages she speaks. Argentinian guitarist Gabriel Hermida infuses his compositions with the essence of classical tango, flamenco and contemporary jazz. This eclectic group of artists sails through everything from Brazilian Jazz & Tango to Swing, French & Italian Songs to Gypsy Jazz, Latin, Flamenco and beyond, imbuing it all with a cool retro sound.
