12-01-2019 12:00:00 12-01-2019 12:00:00 America/New_York Charity Birthday Party W/ Blogxilla | 8:00 pm The "Get Right's" will be bringing their feel-good, good-time electrifying soul music to audiences 2019 and first stop New York City. The "Get Right's" was formed when like-minded musicians from Harlem, Brooklyn, and Southwest Texas came together and created a sound with its roots in R&B, classic rock, raw hip hop, blues, and early jazz traditions of American music. The band draws its repertoire from nearly a century of musical history, true to the traditional roots is influenced by the more contemporary music of the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's and let us fast forward 2019. You will experience great musicianship with sounds of Yusef Lateef, John Coltrane, Aretha Franklin, Cream, Jimi Hendrick, Outkast, Prince, and the Rolling Stones. Ever-evolving, the band also puts its jerk pepper season in several original compositions that feel like they could have been written today and long ago. Fans appreciate what they've called a "clever and eclectic repertoire" and "a great laundry list of standards that patrons of all ages can enjoy!" http://www.cityguideny.com/eventinfo.cfm?id=340810 Drom Drom
