Flotsam & Jetsam
In 2005, Dead By Wednesday made their first mark by releasing their debut CD Democracy is Dead on Jasta of Hatebreed's Stillborn Records which sold 3K out of the box with it's debut. Then in 2008 came The Killing Project, the highly anticipated sophomore full length CD on Eclipse Records (Mushroom Head, Scum of the Earth). The Killing Project demonstrated with a punch to the face, New Haven CT's very own aggressive hybrid of metal, punk, & real hard core. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York DJ Alex Kayne started out as a teenaged mobile DJ spinning dance music in the mid 70's. His club DJ career began when he beat a multitude of other DJs, winning a turntablist "Battle of the DJs" mixing contest at the Night Gallery Discothèque in Brooklyn. Word on the street about the winner of this battle spread quickly and Kayne began getting a lot of work, DJ-ing in several local clubs.
